The Hemingway Book Club of Kosovo
The Blum House Book Club met on October 26th and talked about their most recent read "The Hemingway Book Club of Kosovo". Each month the group gets together and reads a selection and then rates it on a scale of 0-5 stars.
The group really enjoyed this selection and gave it a '4' stars. Some of the comments about the book were that it was heartwarming, sad and informative - all at the same time. It leaves you admiring the couple in the book for their generosity and their positive attitude in the face of adversity. The woman had an enthusiastic and creative teaching method that spanned the difference in the cultures. The group loved the diary form of the book and felt that it helped to give the humanitarian feel that it needed.
