Museum plans to breakground
On Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 10:00am the Collinsville Historical Museum will break ground for its new home at 406 West Main Street. The 4800 square foot building will house the Museum's 10,000+ artifacts.
Environs Architects will work with Korte-Luitjohn Contractors to erect the building with hopes that the Museum will be opening to the public by the end of 2006.
The Museum building will sit adjacent to the Collinsville Memorial Public Library Center and will be used for preservation and education of the past of the Collinsville area.
The Board of Directors invites everyone to stop for the event and refreshments and be part of the historic first day of the new future of the Collinsville Historical Museum.
