Inclement Weather

Reminder for closure of the Collinsville Library Center

During these months of uncertain weather conditions, we advise on days that inclement weather happens that you call the Library at 344-1112 to be sure that we are open before you come to our building.

If you have items that have a due date on a day when we close unexpectedly and, therefore, cannot return it on time, please remind the librarian at the desk to waive your fines for that day.

Have a safe winter...

Tax Databases and more!

It is tax time again and I have updated our Website,s main page (Collinsville Library Center) with the links to the Federal and State income tax sites including Illinois and Missouri. I have also added the link for the Circuit Breaker form for the elderly that gives aid in Illinois for heating, license plates and more.

On the web (I am not endorsing this site nor have I used it) there is a "free" form for doing and filing your taxes.

This last one has nothing to do with taxes, but it is a great site for those of you who think "green". The site helps you to decline paper catalogs in your mail. It claims that it will reduce the amount of unsolicited mail and help preserve the environment. (This was reviewed on the Today Show that highlighted a classroom of the children that do this as a project for their community.)
